An acclaimed artist and social service worker who has travelled extensively, Peter visited Bangkwang prison once in 1985, a visit that impacted him deeply. He also visited Canadian prisoners in Nepal in 1990. He lives on Salt Spring Island, BC.
A former small business owner, Sarah is a single mother and community-minded activist on Salt Spring Island, BC.
A Presbyterian minister, George did long term prison ministry in Prince Georges County, Maryland County Prison system, working for 4 years visiting foreign prisoners in Lecumberri Prison, Mexico City, and is now involved in the “Smart Justice” project in Spokane, WA, whose mission is to reduce recidivism and create special Drug Abuse and Family Courts to keep offenders out of the prison system and instead to be assigned community service, and group home experiences in lieu of court for nonviolent offences. He divides his time between Washington State and Salt Spring Island, BC.
Morgan accompanied her mother Heather over several years to visit Bangkwang inmates, most recently in February 2014, and resides in Vancouver, BC. She is pursuing a degree in social work.
Jean is a registered Charter Accountant, and serves as treasurer of Luna-Rose Prisoner Support. She lives and works on Salt Spring Island and in Vancouver, BC.
