For people wanting to write to an inmate: contact your country’s Embassy in Bangkok to ask for the name and prison building of an incarcerated citizen who wishes to have a pen-pal.

To write to an inmate in Bangkwang Prison, Klong Prem Prison, Lard Yao Women’s or Bangkok Special Remand, use the addresses provided below.  You MUST include the inmate’s name and building number as the prisons will not deliver mail without this information.

EMAIL: Bangkok Remand Prison is the only prison that accepts emails, which are printed and delivered to the inmate sporadically, sometimes not at all. Snail mail is more secure. To email, put the inmate’s name and his building number as the subject line and send to: bk_remand@hotmail.com. Include a physical return address so the inmate can write a reply to you by snail mail, as they HAVE NO ACCESS to internet.
